Melons are very easy to digest; in fact they are among the most easily digestible fruits. By the time melon hits the stomach, it’s almost completely digested from saliva and chewing.
Some nutritionists and food combining believers think that melons should be eaten alone.

It’s a discussed issue because while melons are easy to digest product they can be hard to digest at the same time. How is that possible? A full and a quick absorption in the small intestine is possible only when the stomach is empty and melons are eaten alone or in combination with other raw fruits.

What happens when melons are eaten with other food? It stagnates in the stomach, fermenting and causing digestive distress.
At an event don’t be scared to eat a few slices.
