Tips to get your kids excited and wanting to eat raw vegan foods
Grow the food yourself – Kids love helping in the garden so why don’t you plant one. It’s a great introduction of living foods and will allow your children to see up close how food grows and how it ends up on the dinner table.
If you have to use containers on a small patio of your apartment then do it, your children will still be able to grow their own foods, maybe some grape tomatoes. Kids are much more likely to eat something they grew themselves!
Pick Your Own – If you just can’t have your own garden then find those farms that let you pick your own produce. The children will love helping you pick the veggies and fruits.
Go and Forage in the Wild – It’s a ton of fun for the whole family to go out and forage in the wild for nuts, berries, sour grass and lots of other delectable treats.
Study on what edible foods can be found out in your area then go hiking and ask if there are any good spots where you can find these foods and get started!
Prepare Food Together – Have your children help you as much as possible in the picking out and buying the raw vegan food and then haven them help you out in the kitchen while you make the food?
Children are going to be very handy since stoves aren’t a requirement. When they have a personal vestment in the meal they are going to want to eat it.
Get Exotic – Rare and exotic vegetables and fruits can be very expensive so you aren’t likely to find them in the average home. But, if you do it about once a month then it won’t hurt your budget too bad.
Try to find something each month that you have never had before and if your children are older have them search the Internet for great recipes for the item.
Educate them – Talk to your children about raw vegan foods and how and why they’re different than the foods you get at the store. Talk to them about why processed foods aren’t healthy for us to eat. When your children realize how food can actually hurt them they will defiantly be more open to raw foods.
Be an example for your Kids. Eat raw and teach your children with your own example.
